What this site is for

Before you can get a driving licence in Saudi Arabia, you have to pass a theory test on traffic rules, road signs and safe driving. This site helps residents and expats prepare for it with multiple-choice questions based on the KSA theoretical driving handbook.

Every question shows the correct answer, a short explanation and the page of the handbook it comes from, so you learn why an answer is right instead of memorising letters.

How to use it

  1. Practise: the quiz gives you one question at a time from every topic in turn, and tells you right away if you were correct.
  2. Study by topic: each topic page lists all its questions with the answers marked, ready to read and revise.
  3. Look things up: use the reference pages for signs, violation points, stopping distance and right of way.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official Saudi driving test?

No. KSA Driving Theory Practice is an independent, free study site. It is not affiliated with any government entity or driving school. The questions are written from the KSA theoretical driving handbook so you can practise the material before your theory test.

What does the theory material cover?

The handbook covers licensing rules, traffic signs and road markings, traffic violations and points, road users and driver duties, lane use, turning, intersections and right of way, speed and stopping distance, overtaking, parking and vehicle lights. Each topic on this site follows one part of the handbook.

How many practice questions are there?

There are 924 questions in 48 topics, and 339 of them include a diagram or sign. By default the quiz uses the 895 core questions; you can switch on the extra questions in the quiz settings.

Do I need an account, and is it really free?

It is free and needs no account or sign-up. Your score and progress are saved only in your own browser, and you can reset the counters at any time.

How should I use the site to prepare?

Read a topic page to learn the rules with the answers shown, then practise that topic in the quiz. When you get a question wrong, the quiz shows the right answer and the explanation with the handbook page, so you can look it up.

Does it work on my phone and offline?

Yes. The site is built for phones first and loads quickly on slow connections. After your first visit, the practice quiz also works offline.

Is there an Arabic version?

An Arabic version is planned. For now all questions and explanations are in English.
